Privacy.Fish is a email hosting service for privacy focused individuals. It is built around data minimization, open-source infrastructure, and security-first design. All company decisions are based on providing maximum privacy and security to our users.

Private and secure access to the internet is a human right.
Privacy.Fish was founded with the core idea of taking the technological concept of Privacy and Security to the highest level possible. The idea is to strip the product down to the core of what is actually required to send and receive email, in favor of lines of code and additional attack surface. Additionally Norway, even though it has a rather high tax rate, was chosen as the best country for email hosting privacy rights. Finally, we decided to only charge a one-time company lifetime fee in order to add even more privacy to the payment options.
Privacy.Fish exists to provide private, secure email while collecting and retaining as little data as possible. Every technical, legal, and business decision is made with privacy and security first, even when that means less convenience, fewer features, or lower profit.
Who It Is For
Privacy.Fish is for privacy-conscious technical users who want an email provider that collects as little data as possible and treats privacy as a requirement, not a preference.
Using Privacy.Fish means accepting a more local-first workflow: you install the Privacy.Fish app, configure your normal mail client to send and download mail through that local app, and manage SSH keys through the app. Privacy.Fish does not offer browser-based webmail by design.
It is especially suitable if you prefer a small, focused service built only around private and secure email instead of a large provider with webmail, calendars, cloud storage, and other bundled features.
What Makes It Different
Privacy.Fish is designed to avoid keeping data whenever possible: no unnecessary logs, no analytics, no tracking, and no permanent server-side mailbox.
The code is open source, the infrastructure is hosted in Norway, accounts are created through a private payment flow, and the system is built so privacy and security come before convenience.
What You Should Know Before Signing Up
Privacy.Fish works differently from traditional email providers.
You use the Privacy.Fish app with your normal email client, mail is stored on your own devices, server-side mail is deleted after 14 days or when you delete it, and iPhone is not currently supported.
